The Prayer of a Realist

Call someone a pessimist, and you’re likely to get this reply: “I’m not a pessimist; I’m a realist.”

Psalm 90 was written by a … well, let’s call him a realist. His name was Moses, and by the time he wrote this psalm all his idealism had eroded. But the prayer he prayed was uncharacteristically optimistic … and it was answered!

This Sunday at White Pine, we’ll see how God can use the worst life throws at us to put us on a path of ever-increasing joy.
