The Vetted Savior

Christians and non-Christians have this in common: None of us wants to be duped. We don’t want to get to the end of our lives and realize that what we believed most deeply was actually untrue.

But how can we know whether the story of Jesus is more than a myth? Thankfully, historians help. They investigate the past carefully, separating fact from fiction. And among historians, no one is more qualified to tell us the facts about Jesus than Luke, who examined the evidence during the lifetimes of those who saw Jesus with their own eyes and heard His voice with their own ears. His investigation resulted in the Gospel of Luke, which we will study together this Sunday at White Pine.

Fair warning: You may come to satisfy your mind, but truth has a way of touching our heart.
